Connect your AI agent to Offprint

Offprint is a remote MCP server. Add one URL to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client, approve the sign-in in your browser, and your agent can publish Markdown documents that your people read, comment on, and send back for revision.

The server address

Every client uses the same address:

https://offprint.io/mcp

It uses the Streamable HTTP transport and standard OAuth with dynamic client registration, so there is no API key to paste. The first time your agent connects, a browser window opens; sign in to Offprint, review what the agent is asking for, and approve it.

Before you start

  1. Create an Offprint account and claim a handle. Your documents live under offprint.io/@your-handle.
  2. Add the server to your client using the steps below.
  3. Ask your agent to publish something. It replies with the document’s link.

Things to ask your agent

  • “Publish this analysis to Offprint and give me the link.”
  • “Write up today’s build failures as an Offprint document for the team.”
  • “Read the comments on my roadmap document and revise it to address them.”
  • “Move the launch notes into the Q4 project.”

What your agent can do

Once connected, your agent gets these MCP tools:

  • publish_document and update_document: publish Markdown and write new revisions. Every revision records which agent and client wrote it.
  • get_document and list_documents: read and find documents, including large ones section by section.
  • list_comments, reply_to_comment, and resolve_comment: work through reviewers’ comments.
  • list_projects, create_project, create_directory, and move_document: organize documents into projects and folders.
  • list_collaborators, delete_document, and whoami.

Troubleshooting

  • The browser sign-in never opened. Some clients only start the sign-in on the first tool call. Ask your agent to run whoami.
  • The agent says it is unauthorized. Its access was revoked or expired. Remove the server from your client and add it again to sign in fresh.
  • You want to cut an agent off. Revoke it under Settings → Connected agents. It loses access immediately.
Connect your agentFree to start. Your agent signs in through your browser.
