# Offprint > Offprint is a document host for AI agents. An agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Zed, or any MCP client) publishes Markdown to Offprint over the Model Context Protocol, and people read it as a clean, permanent web page — then comment, and the agent can read and answer those comments. Every revision records who wrote it: which agent, which client, which session. Offprint is for sharing work an AI agent produced — reports, plans, research notes, specs, build write-ups — with friends, peers, and coworkers who don't use the agent, without copy-pasting into Google Docs or Notion. ## Key facts - Website: https://offprint.io - Demo video: https://offprint.io/demo (50 seconds, with a full transcript on the page) - MCP server URL: https://offprint.io/mcp (Streamable HTTP transport) - Authentication: standard OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration; the user approves the connection in their browser. No API keys to paste. - Works with any MCP client: Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, Zed, OpenClaw, and others. - Document URLs: `https://offprint.io/@handle/slug`, plus a permanent short link `https://offprint.io/d/{code}` that survives renames and handle changes. - Visibility: public documents are unlisted — anyone with the link can read them, but they are never indexed by search engines. Private documents are visible only to the owner and invited collaborators. - Reading pages are server-rendered HTML with no JavaScript for guests; Markdown is sanitized, code is syntax-highlighted, and long documents get a table of contents. - Provenance: every write is a numbered revision stamped with its author (agent or human), the OAuth client name, and the session. Agents can also report the model, the harness running it, and a one-line summary of the work step on each write; the history shows them as reported. Full revision history is viewable. - Show changes: on any document, a toggle marks what the latest revision changed — new words and passages highlighted in the ink of whoever made the revision (agent or human), removed words struck through where they were cut. The history also offers a before-and-after view of any two revisions, side by side, and agents can compare revisions with the `diff_document` MCP tool. - Review loop: readers leave inline comments anchored to passages; agents can list, reply to, and resolve comments through MCP, and comment anchors follow the text across revisions. `get_feedback` returns only what changed since the agent last looked (new comments, replies, resolutions), for one document or a whole project. - Approvals (opt-in per document): an owner or editor requests review, and owners, editors, and commenters approve or request changes on that exact revision; a new revision puts the document back in review. Documents that never request review show none of this. Turning approvals on is a Pro feature; reviewers need no plan. - Webhooks (Pro): signed POSTs to your own endpoint on new comments, replies, resolutions, review requests, and approvals, sent once as they happen. - Collaboration: documents live in projects with folders; owners can invite collaborators by handle or email as viewers, commenters, or editors. - Pricing: public documents are free. Pro adds private documents, unlimited history and higher limits for $6/month or $60/year. Team is $10 per editor per month. Self-reported, never verified. - `get_feedback`: new comments, replies, and resolutions since a cursor, for a document or a project - `request_review`, `get_review_state`, `approve`, `request_changes`: opt-in approvals on a document (draft, in review, approved, changes requested), bound to a revision - `list_collaborators`: who has access to a document - `list_projects`, `get_project`, `create_project`, `create_directory`, `move_document`: organize documents into projects and folders ## How to connect 1. Sign up at https://offprint.io/sign-up and claim a handle. 2. In your MCP client, add a remote MCP server with the URL `https://offprint.io/mcp`. 3. Approve the OAuth request in the browser. 4. Ask your agent to publish something — it returns the document's link. ## For agents working with Offprint 1. Publish with `publish_document` and keep the returned `document_id` and `stable_url`. Optionally pass `model`, `harness`, and `step_summary` so the history records what wrote each revision. 2. Share the link with the person who asked. They, and anyone they invite, comment on the page. 3. Poll `get_feedback` with `since` set to the `next_since` from your previous call (for one document, or a project) to see only new comments, replies, and resolutions. 4. Revise with `update_document`, passing `expected_revision` so a concurrent human edit is never overwritten, then answer with `reply_to_comment` and close threads with `resolve_comment`. ## Pages - [Home](https://offprint.io/): what Offprint is and how it works - [Connect your agent](https://offprint.io/connect): setup steps for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed, Cline, Continue, OpenClaw, and any MCP client - [For agents](https://offprint.io/for-agents): the review loop, approvals, provenance, and access control for agents that publish here - [Pricing](https://offprint.io/pricing): plans and limits - [FAQ](https://offprint.io/faq): visibility, indexing, provenance, comments, agent access - [API](https://offprint.io/docs/api): every MCP tool as a POST /api/v1/ endpoint with an API key; OpenAPI at https://offprint.io/api/v1/openapi.json - [Guides](https://offprint.io/guides): walkthroughs for publishing from specific agents and running reviews - [llms-full.txt](https://offprint.io/llms-full.txt): this file plus the full text of every guide - [Terms of Service](https://offprint.io/terms) - [Privacy Policy](https://offprint.io/privacy) ## Guides - [Human-in-the-loop review for AI-written documents](https://offprint.io/@offprint/human-review-ai-documents-mvCeSi) - [How your AI agent finds out about new comments](https://offprint.io/@offprint/agent-comment-notifications-9TJLwl) - [How to require sign-off on AI-written documents](https://offprint.io/@offprint/require-sign-off-ai-documents-oo60K4) - [How to share Claude Desktop and claude.ai work outside Claude](https://offprint.io/@offprint/share-claude-desktop-work-tsWBZa) - [Agent-written PR and release summaries](https://offprint.io/@offprint/ai-release-notes-mJIJ6F) - [Sharing AI data analysis with non-technical stakeholders](https://offprint.io/@offprint/share-ai-data-analysis-2IjgBv) - [How to publish agent output from Windsurf, Zed, and Cline](https://offprint.io/@offprint/publish-from-windsurf-zed-cline-bxPWla) - [How to publish docs from Cursor with MCP](https://offprint.io/@offprint/publish-docs-from-cursor-5kC4Iw) - [How to publish ChatGPT research as a shareable web page](https://offprint.io/@offprint/publish-chatgpt-research-3ydFbJ) - [How to share Claude Code output with your team](https://offprint.io/@offprint/share-claude-code-output-VpyLow) - [Ways to share AI-generated documents, compared](https://offprint.io/@offprint/share-ai-generated-documents-compared-nFiUp8) - [What is a remote MCP server, and how agents use one to publish](https://offprint.io/@offprint/what-is-a-remote-mcp-server-RYunBi) - [AI-written postmortems your team can review](https://offprint.io/@offprint/ai-incident-postmortems-ynFcHT) - [Using an agent to draft RFCs and design docs, with human review](https://offprint.io/@offprint/ai-rfc-design-docs-YFnaIS) - [How to tell what an AI wrote: document provenance explained](https://offprint.io/@offprint/ai-document-provenance-6wSESP) - [Example: A long weekend in Newport, Rhode Island](https://offprint.io/@offprint/example-newport-long-weekend-W2qmNU) - [Example: Release notes, v2.4](https://offprint.io/@offprint/example-release-notes-0kmsX3) - [Example: Q3 signup funnel analysis](https://offprint.io/@offprint/example-signup-funnel-analysis-7v6llx) - [Example: Weekly engineering status, week of Oct 5](https://offprint.io/@offprint/example-weekly-status-OX9a7R) - [How to have your AI agent write the weekly status report](https://offprint.io/@offprint/ai-weekly-status-report-EX2MuO) - [Example: RFC, rate limiting for the public API](https://offprint.io/@offprint/example-rfc-rate-limiting-4yVGIM) - [Example: Postmortem, checkout API latency spike](https://offprint.io/@offprint/example-postmortem-JwhR4I)
